How long the deposit takes on each network
A swap starts once your deposit has the number of confirmations below. The wait is that count multiplied by the network’s block or slot time, so read it as an estimate: block times vary.

The payout adds its own time after the swap. A Bitcoin payout shows as pending until the next block, about 10 minutes on average; Monero adds a block about every 2 minutes; a Lightning payout settles in seconds. Most orders take 5 to 30 minutes in total, depending on network confirmations.
Direction
Why is there no XMR to BTC page?
Monero (XMR), Bitcoin on Lightning and Zcash (ZEC) are receive-only on Ghostex today. The form offers them as payouts only, so every Monero page above runs into XMR and none runs out of it. Lightning works the same way: you can receive BTC over Lightning, while the deposit always goes to the on-chain network of the asset you send.
A few more assets work in one direction only. Stellar (XLM), Cosmos (ATOM) and Tezos (XTZ) can be sent but not received, and Cardano (ADA) and USDT on TON are paused in both directions. The list of all 43 assets marks each one with Send and Receive, together with its network and any memo rule.

What stays the same on every route
- Fee
- A flat 0.48% of the amount you send, already in the quote. Your wallet pays the network fee for the deposit; the payout network fee is covered by Ghostex and reflected in the quote.
- Rate
- Fixed: locked for 30 minutes from order creation, for the exact amount shown. Floating: settles at the market rate when the swap executes. Both carry the same 0.48% (fixed vs floating).
- Limits
- About $10 to $10,000,000 in USD value. The form shows the exact minimum and maximum in units of the coin you send.
- Identity
- No account, and no name, email, phone or ID is asked for. An order connected with a prohibited use may be delayed, declined or refunded (Terms, s.6).
- Refunds
- Automatic, in the asset and network you sent, minus the network cost of sending it back, with no fee kept. Not for a wrong asset, a wrong network or a missing memo (how refunds work).
