Swap USDC to USDT TRC20
Send Circle's USDC on Ethereum and receive Tether's USDT on Tron at your T address: a change of issuer and of network in one order. Ghostex waits for 12 Ethereum confirmations, about 2.4 minutes. The flat 0.48% fee is inside the quote, and there is no account or KYC.
Pair details
USDC to USDT TRC20 at a glance
Two dollar stablecoins, two issuers, two blockchains. The USDC leaves Ethereum as an ERC-20 token, and USDT arrives on Tron as a TRC-20 token.
- You send
- USDC on Ethereum mainnet (Ghostex code USDCETH). USDC on Solana, Base, Arbitrum One, Polygon, Optimism and Avalanche is listed separately in the form, and USDC on BNB Smart Chain cannot be sent at all.
- You receive
- Tether's USDT on Tron as a TRC-20 token (Ghostex code USDTTRC), sent by Courier to the address on your order.
- Payout address
- A Tron address: 34 characters starting with T. The form checks its built-in checksum and rejects 0x addresses.
- Memo or tag
- None. Neither ERC-20 USDC nor TRC-20 USDT uses one, so the form does not ask.
- Refund address
- Optional, in 0x format. A refund returns as USDC on Ethereum, minus the network cost of sending it, to this address or to the one you paid from.
- Limits
- About $10 to $10,000,000 in USD value; the form shows the exact range in USDC.
- Rate
- Fixed for 30 minutes from order creation, or floating and priced when the swap executes. Both include the 0.48% fee, and neither is exactly 1:1.
- Typical time
- 5 to 30 minutes for most orders. The 12 Ethereum confirmations take about 2.4 minutes; Tron then adds a block about every 3 seconds.
How it works
From Ethereum USDC to Tron USDT in three steps
-
1. Copy a Tron address
Take it from your Tron wallet's receive screen, or from your exchange's USDT deposit page with TRC20 selected. It starts with T. Do not copy it from transaction history, where look-alike addresses get planted.
-
2. Send USDC from Ethereum
Enter the USDC amount, paste the T address and pick a fixed or floating rate. Then send the exact amount as an ordinary ERC-20 transfer from a wallet that holds ETH for gas. Sentinel counts 12 confirmations.
-
3. Receive USDT on Tron
Executor swaps the USDC for USDT and Courier sends it as a TRC-20 transfer to your T address. Every step is logged on your order page, together with the agent that handled it.
Use case
Why swap USDC to USDT on Tron
This order changes two things at once. The issuer changes from Circle, which issues USDC, to Tether, which issues USDT, and the network changes from Ethereum to Tron. The usual way to do both is through an exchange account: deposit the USDC, trade it for USDT, then withdraw with TRC20 selected, which means signing up there first. Here it is one order, with no account and no ID, and a deposit that cannot complete goes back to Ethereum automatically.
Why not simply move the USDC to Tron? Because USDC is no longer issued there. Circle announced on 21 February 2024 that it would stop minting USDC on TRON with immediate effect, and supported its Circle Mint customers' transfers off the chain only through February 2025. Its list of USDC contract addresses does not include Tron as of September 2026. Tron does appear on Tether's list of supported USDT protocols, so when a deposit page or a payment request asks for dollar stablecoins on Tron, USDT is the token that fits.
Tron is also where later transfers are priced differently. A TRC-20 transfer is paid with Energy and Bandwidth, or with burned TRX, rather than with Ethereum gas, which rises when Ethereum is busy. The guide to the cheapest network to send USDT compares the options, and USDT TRC20 vs ERC20 covers what you give up and gain on each chain.
Both sides
Two coins, two chains
Everything about the send side follows Ethereum's rules and everything about the payout follows Tron's. The only thing the two tokens share is the dollar they track.
| Detail | USDC, what you send | USDT, what you receive |
|---|---|---|
| Issuer | Circle | Tether |
| Network and standard | Ethereum, ERC-20 | Tron, TRC-20 |
| Ghostex code | USDCETH | USDTTRC |
| Address format | 0x and 40 hexadecimal characters | T and 33 more characters |
| Network fee paid in | ETH, as gas | Energy and Bandwidth, or burned TRX |
| Block time | 12-second slots | About 3 seconds |
| Who pays the fee on this order | You, for the deposit | Ghostex, for the payout |
Check the contract, not the ticker. Anyone can deploy a token and call it USDC or USDT, and scammers send look-alike tokens to wallets so that they show up in the balance and the history (the guide to address poisoning shows how). The USDC this order accepts is the contract 0xA0b86991c6218b36c1d19D4a2e9Eb0cE3606eB48 on Circle's list. The USDT that Courier sends is the contract TR7NHqjeKQxGTCi8q8ZY4pL8otSzgjLj6t on Tether's list, and a Tron wallet that has added that token will show the payout under it.
The rate
Why 1,000 USDC does not become 1,000 USDT
Two things sit between the USDC you send and the USDT you receive: the flat 0.48% fee and the market price of one stablecoin against the other.
Both coins track one US dollar, and each issuer redeems its own token for dollars, but only for verified business customers. Circle Mint, Circle's issuance and redemption service, offers 1:1 redemption to institutions and is not available to individuals. Tether's fee page sets a minimum of 100,000 USD for a redemption and a fee of the greater of $1,000 or 0.1% (both as of September 2026). Everyone else buys and sells the two coins on the market, where each trades close to $1 but not always at the same price as the other at the same moment. Oracle builds your quote from that market.
In calm markets the gap is a small fraction of a cent. Under stress it can be much larger. When Silicon Valley Bank failed in March 2023, it held $3.3 billion of USDC's reserves, and USDC traded below its dollar peg until Circle's press release of 13 March 2023 announced that the de-peg had closed. Two dollar tokens mean two issuers, two sets of reserves and two market prices. This page describes how the swap is priced, not which coin to hold.
| USDC you send | 0.48% fee | USDT if 1 USDC = 1.0000 USDT | USDT if 1 USDC = 0.9995 USDT |
|---|---|---|---|
| 100 USDC | 0.48 USDC | 99.52 USDT | 99.47 USDT |
| 1,000 USDC | 4.80 USDC | 995.20 USDT | 994.70 USDT |
| 25,000 USDC | 120.00 USDC | 24,880.00 USDT | 24,867.56 USDT |
The 0.9995 column shows a 0.05% gap as an example, not a forecast. When USDC trades slightly above USDT, the result moves the other way. The Tron network fee for your payout is covered by Ghostex and already in the quote, so nothing else is taken from the USDT.
Fixed or floating
Choosing a rate type for a stablecoin pair
Between two dollar coins the rate rarely moves much in 30 minutes, so the choice is less about price risk than about how exact the result must be. A fixed rate shows the exact USDT amount before you send and holds it for 30 minutes from order creation. It suits a payout that has to match a number: an invoice, an exchange's deposit minimum, a balance you are topping up. A floating rate shows an estimate marked ≈ and settles at the market rate when the swap executes, after your deposit confirms, so the result can land a little above or below the estimate.
The fixed rate has two conditions, and Ethereum makes both easy to miss. The deposit must match the amount on the order, and it must be sent within the 30-minute window. An exchange withdrawal that takes its fee out of the amount you type arrives short, and a transaction sent with too low a fee can sit unconfirmed (see why an Ethereum transaction stays pending). Either way the locked rate no longer applies, and the deposit is executed at the market rate or refunded automatically, as your order page shows (Terms, section 8).
Network fees
ETH to send it, TRX to move it later
USDC cannot pay for its own transfer. Ethereum gas is paid in ether, and an ERC-20 transfer runs the USDC contract, so it needs more gas than the 21,000 units of a plain ETH payment. A wallet that holds only USDC cannot send the deposit. Put a little ETH in it first, or withdraw the USDC from an exchange, which pays the gas itself and charges its own withdrawal fee instead.
The deposit is a plain transfer from your wallet to the address on your order. The ERC-20 standard also has an approve function, which lets another account spend tokens on your behalf. A Ghostex deposit never needs one, so if a page offering this swap asks you to sign an approval, stop there.
Receiving the USDT costs you nothing, because Ghostex covers the Tron network fee for the payout. Moving it on later does cost something. Under Tron's resource model, a TRC-20 transfer spends Energy, which has no free quota, and Bandwidth, of which an account gets up to 600 free over a rolling 24 hours. If staked TRX does not cover them, the network burns TRX from your balance. A fresh address has one more catch: Tron's account documentation describes activating a new address by sending it TRX or a TRC-10 token, and a TRC-20 payout is not on that list. Put some TRX on the address before you need to send from it.
No TRX yet? You can get it without touching Tron first. A second, small order from Ethereum, USDC to TRX, pays native TRX to the same T address. It has its own minimum of about $10 and its own Ethereum gas, so it makes sense when you plan to move the USDT soon.
Fees and timing
USDC to USDT TRC20 fees and timing
The 0.48% fee is taken from the USDC you send and is already inside the quote; the rate table above shows what it comes to.
About 2.4 minutes on Ethereum
12 confirmations × 12-second Ethereum slots. This is the longer leg, and it only starts once your transaction is in a block.
About 3 seconds per Tron block
Tron produces a block roughly every three seconds, so the TRC-20 payout Courier broadcasts is normally in a block within seconds.
Who pays which fee
Your wallet pays the Ethereum gas for the deposit, in ETH; it goes to the network, is not refunded and is not part of the 0.48%. Ghostex covers the Tron fee for sending your payout, already reflected in the quote.
Compare before large transfers. On 10,000 USDC the fee is 48 USDC. If you already have an exchange account that trades USDC for USDT and withdraws on TRC20, add its trading fee and its TRC20 withdrawal fee and compare the total. What this order adds is no account, no ID check and a refund that does not depend on anyone approving it.
Pitfalls
USDC to USDT TRC20 mistakes to avoid
Sending USDT instead of USDC
Both are dollar tokens in the same Ethereum wallet, sent to the same kind of 0x address. A USDT deposit on a USDC order is a different asset: automatic refunds do not apply, and recovery is not guaranteed (Terms, section 12).
USDC from Base or Arbitrum
Layer 2 USDC uses the same 0x address, so the wallet lets you send it. This order takes Ethereum mainnet USDC only. Holding USDC on another network? Pick that network's USDC in the form; it swaps to Tron USDT as well.
An exchange's TRX address as the payout
Any valid T address passes the form, but an exchange may credit only the assets it lists for that address, so copy the one from its USDT deposit page with TRC20 selected, not from its TRX page.
A gas fee set too low
A custom low fee can leave the ERC-20 transfer waiting for a block. If it is still unconfirmed after the 30-minute window, the fixed rate no longer applies. Use your wallet's standard fee setting.
An exchange withdrawal that arrives short
If the exchange deducts its fee from the USDC you type, less arrives than the order expects. A fixed rate needs the exact amount; otherwise the deposit runs at the market rate or is refunded automatically.
No refund address when paying from an exchange
Without one, a refund goes back to the address the USDC came from, which for an exchange is its own shared wallet. Crediting it to you is then up to the exchange. Add a 0x address you control.
Five agents on one order. Oracle prices USDC against USDT, Router picks the route, Sentinel counts the 12 Ethereum confirmations, Executor makes the swap and Courier signs the TRC-20 payout to your T address (meet the five). A confirmed deposit of the right asset on the right network ends one of two ways: delivered, or refunded automatically.
FAQ
USDC to Tron USDT questions
Which USDC does this pair accept?
USDC on Ethereum only, the ERC-20 token Circle issues at 0xA0b86991c6218b36c1d19D4a2e9Eb0cE3606eB48 (Ghostex code USDCETH). USDC on Solana, Base, Arbitrum One, Polygon, Optimism and Avalanche are separate assets in the form, and USDC on BNB Smart Chain cannot be sent.
Why do I get fewer USDT than the USDC I send?
Two reasons, both inside the quote: the flat 0.48% fee, and the market rate between USDC and USDT, which is close to 1 but rarely exactly 1. If both traded at exactly the same price, 1,000 USDC would return 995.20 USDT.
Fixed or floating for USDC to USDT?
Fixed if the USDT amount must be exact: it is shown before you send and held for 30 minutes, provided you send the exact amount in time. Floating settles at the market rate when the swap executes, so the result can land a little above or below the estimate.
How long does USDC to USDT TRC20 take?
Most orders finish in 5 to 30 minutes. Ghostex waits for 12 Ethereum confirmations, about 2.4 minutes at 12-second slots, and Tron adds a block about every 3 seconds once the payout is sent.
Do I need ETH or TRX?
ETH, to pay the gas for sending USDC on Ethereum. Nothing to receive the USDT. TRX, or staked Energy, only later, when you move the USDT on from your Tron address.
Can I receive USDC on Tron instead?
No. Circle stopped minting USDC on TRON on 21 February 2024, and Tron is not on its list of USDC networks as of September 2026. Ghostex lists no USDC on Tron; for dollars on Tron, the payout is Tether's USDT.
Where does a refund go?
Back to Ethereum as USDC, minus the network cost of sending it: to your refund address, or to the address you paid from. Paying from an exchange? Add a 0x refund address from your own wallet.
Do I need an account or KYC?
No. The order needs the USDC amount, a Tron payout address and, if you want, a refund address. There is no account to create, and no name, email, phone or ID is asked for.
