Crypto swap FAQ. Nothing to verify.

Five AI agents run every order around the clock. No account, no KYC, no identity checks. When a confirmed deposit hits one of the usual edge cases, the agents resolve it: the swap completes, or the deposit is refunded automatically.

  • 0.48% flat fee
  • 30-min rate lock
  • 5-30 min typical swap
  • 0 humans in the loop

0 humans in the loop refers to normal operation: the operator steps in only where the law requires it, for security or to recover from a technical failure (Terms, section 4).

General

What Ghostex is, and how a swap works from start to finish.

Ghostex.ai is a crypto exchange run end to end by five autonomous AI agents. You pick two assets, paste the address you want to be paid to and send the deposit. The agents quote the rate, route the trade, watch the chain, execute the swap and deliver the payout.

No account, no KYC, no identity checks and no humans in the loop, around the clock. If a confirmed deposit hits one of the usual edge cases, the agents resolve it: the swap completes, or the deposit goes back automatically, to your refund address or to the address you paid from.

No. There is nothing to sign up for: no email, no phone number and no password to lose. Every swap is a standalone order with its own ID, such as GX7K2QF9MA. Keep that ID, or bookmark the order page, to follow your swap.

43 assets across 31 networks, and every asset you can send swaps into every asset you can receive: 3,907 pairs in total. The full list, with networks, memo requirements and availability, is on the Supported assets page. The most asked-for routes have their own pages: see the popular swap pairs.

  1. Choose what you send, what you receive and the amount.
  2. Pick a fixed or a floating rate.
  3. Paste your destination address, plus a memo if your wallet needs one. A refund address is optional for most assets: without one, a refund goes back to the address you pay from.
  4. Send the exact deposit to the address on your order before the window closes.
  5. That’s your part done. The agents run the rest, and the order page shows each step until the payout lands in your wallet.

Privacy & data

What a swap needs, what we never ask for, and where privacy ends.

No, at any amount. Ghostex never asks for your name, email, phone number, ID documents, proof of address or a selfie.

No. There is no identity verification anywhere in a swap: not before your first order, not for larger amounts, not at payout and not when something goes wrong. No ID documents, no selfie or liveness check, no proof of address and no source-of-funds form.

There is nothing to verify because we never ask who you are. The agents only need the pair, the amount and your addresses. If an order can’t complete, the deposit is refunded automatically; it never turns into a request for identity documents. We will never ask for identity documents, a seed phrase or private keys. See how no-KYC crypto exchanges work and our no-KYC safety checklist.

To run the swap: the pair, the amount, your destination address and, if you add one, a refund address. No name, email, phone number or ID.

When your deposit arrives, the agents also note the address it was sent from. It is already public on the blockchain, and it is used only to return a refund when the order has no refund address.

Like any website, the servers see your IP address in short-lived security logs (a VPN is fine), and the site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. The Privacy policy lists everything.

Not fully. Ghostex removes the identity side: there is no account and no KYC, and no name, email, phone or ID is ever asked for. The chain side is different. Public blockchains stay public, so on most networks anyone can follow a payment from one address to the next, and an address can be linked to you through information published elsewhere. See whether a no-KYC exchange is anonymous.

Ghostex never asks for your name, email, phone or ID, and without accounts there is no profile that links one order to the next. The blockchains are another matter: on most networks, transactions and addresses are public by design. Privacy-focused networks such as Monero offer stronger privacy at the protocol level; most networks do not.

Your privacy depends on the exchange and on the chains you use. We take care of our side.

Your list of orders is kept only in this browser, so you can find them again from the Track page. Nothing is tied to an identity, and clearing your browser’s site data removes the list. The exchange keeps only the order record needed to run and support the swap (see the Privacy policy).

Exceptions & refunds

What the agents do when an order doesn’t go to plan, and the rare cases that need you.

Every confirmed deposit ends one of two ways. Refunds are automatic, so it never sits in a queue waiting for a person.

  • Delivered
  • Refunded

Exceptions don’t become support tickets. Each edge case has an owner agent and a rule, so the order keeps moving: it completes, or the deposit is refunded automatically, to your refund address or to the address you paid from.

Deposit arrives after the window (owner: Oracle)
Sentinel still detects it. It is executed at the market rate at the time of execution, or refunded automatically, as shown on your order page. Ends: Delivered or Refunded.
Amount below the minimum or above the maximum (owner: Sentinel)
Refunded automatically, minus the network cost of sending it back. Ends: Refunded.
Different or extra amount on a fixed rate (owner: Sentinel)
The locked rate can’t apply to it, so it runs at the market rate or is refunded automatically, as shown on your order page. Ends: Delivered or Refunded.
Pair or network paused before execution (owner: Router)
Refunded automatically, in the same asset you sent. Ends: Refunded.
Maintenance, congestion or a provider outage (owner: Executor)
The order isn’t dropped. It completes when the service resumes, or is refunded automatically. Ends: Delivered or Refunded.
The market moves during a fixed rate (owner: Oracle)
Nothing changes for you. If the exact deposit is sent within 30 minutes, you receive the amount quoted. Ends: Delivered.

Every step is logged on your order page, together with the agent that handled it. Two mistakes can’t be fixed automatically: a deposit sent on the wrong network, or without a required memo. See Troubleshooting.

Yes, for every confirmed deposit of the right asset on the right network, with the memo or tag if your order shows one. If a swap can’t complete, nobody has to approve the refund and you don’t have to ask for it:

  1. Sentinel detects the exception.
  2. Executor decides the refund.
  3. Courier broadcasts it.
  4. Your address receives it back.

The refund goes to your refund address, or back to the address you paid from if you left that field empty. It is paid in the same asset and on the same network as your deposit, minus the network cost of sending it (details under How do refunds work?).

A refund address is required for XMR, Lightning and ZEC: these payments don’t show a sending address. All three are receive-only on Ghostex today, so no current pair needs one.

A refund never needs a support ticket, an email or your order ID.

Not for a refund, and not for the usual edge cases. A late deposit, an amount outside the limits, a paused pair or a network interruption resolves without a ticket: the order completes, or the deposit is refunded.

Refunds never need support. The agents send every refund on their own, to your refund address or back to the address you paid from. There is nothing to email and no order ID to send.

Support is only for other questions, such as a deposit sent on the wrong network or without a required memo. For those, write to us through the support page with the order ID and the transaction hash. Recovery in those cases can’t be guaranteed. We will never ask for identity documents, a seed phrase or private keys.

Every refund is sent automatically. It goes to the refund address on your order, if you added one. Otherwise it goes back to the address your deposit was sent from, on the same network.

A refund address is required for XMR, Lightning and ZEC: Monero and Lightning payments don’t show a sending address, and shielded Zcash transfers hide the sender. All three are receive-only on Ghostex today, so no current pair needs one.

Paying from an exchange account or another shared address? The refund goes back to that address, and crediting it to you is up to that service. Add your own refund address in that case, so a refund reaches you directly.

A refund is paid in the same asset and on the same network as your deposit, not in the asset you asked for. The amount is what was received, minus the network cost of sending it back. The network fee you paid to send the deposit isn’t refunded, and a refund is final once broadcast, just like a payout. Read the full guide to automatic refunds.

Send the exact amount on your order. With a fixed rate, a different amount can’t be honoured at the locked rate, so the deposit is executed at the market rate at the time of execution, or refunded automatically, as shown on your order page. A deposit below the minimum or above the maximum is refunded automatically, minus network costs. More on sending more or less than the quote.

If you haven’t sent anything, nothing happens: create a new order and you get a fresh quote. If your deposit arrives after the order expired, the old fixed rate no longer applies. The deposit is executed at the market rate at the time of execution, or refunded automatically, as shown on your order page.

Rates & fees

One flat fee, two ways to price a swap, and where the rate comes from.

A flat 0.48% on every swap, whatever the pair or the size. It is already included in the amount you are quoted, so there is nothing to add at the end.

Sending your deposit costs a normal network fee, set by your wallet and paid to the network, not to Ghostex. The payout network fee is covered and already reflected in your quote.

Fixed rate
Locks your quote for 30 minutes. If the deposit is sent within that window and matches the quoted amount, you receive exactly the amount shown, however the market moves.
Floating rate
Settles at the market rate when Executor runs your swap. The estimate is marked ≈ because the final amount can end slightly higher or lower.

Choose fixed for certainty, floating when you are comfortable following the market. See fixed vs floating rates, explained.

Each swap must be worth at least about $10 and at most about $10,000,000. The exact limits for your pair are shown in the exchange form, in the units of the asset you send. A deposit outside them is refunded automatically, minus network costs.

Oracle, the pricing agent, aggregates market data across venues and quotes your rate. Router then finds the best execution path for the pair. Prices on the Supported assets page are indicative: your rate is set when you create the order.

Orders & timing

Deposit windows, confirmations, statuses and tracking.

Typically 5 to 30 minutes, depending on the networks involved. When the deposit is on a slow network such as Bitcoin, most of that time is the deposit confirming. On routes into Bitcoin or Monero, most of it is the payout waiting for its first block on that network.

30 minutes from the moment the order is created. The order page shows a live countdown. If nothing arrives in time, the order expires and you can simply create a new one.

  1. Awaiting deposit: The order is open and waiting for your funds.
  2. Confirming: Sentinel has seen your deposit and is counting network confirmations.
  3. Exchanging: Executor is swapping at the locked or market rate.
  4. Sending: Courier has signed and broadcast your payout.
  5. Completed: The payout is on-chain. Where the network has a public explorer, the order page links to it.
  • Expired: No deposit arrived within 30 minutes, so the order closed and nothing was charged.
  • Refunded: The swap could not complete and Courier returned your deposit in the same asset and on the same network, minus the network cost.

See what happens at each stage of a swap.

It depends on the network: Bitcoin needs 2, Ethereum 12, Tron 20 and Solana 32, for example. Sentinel counts them for you, and your order page shows the progress live.

Open the Track page and enter your order ID, or keep the order page open: it updates by itself. Its timeline lists every event (quote, deposit detected, confirmations, execution, payout) together with the agent that performed it.

Troubleshooting

Memos and networks: the two cases the agents can’t fix for you.

Some networks, such as TON, XRP Ledger, Stellar and Cosmos Hub, use a memo, tag or comment. On XRP Ledger, Stellar and Cosmos Hub it tells deposits to a shared address apart; on TON, Ghostex uses the comment for payouts only, because it takes no deposits there. When your order shows one for the deposit, it is mandatory: without it, the deposit cannot be matched to your order automatically.

If you have already sent without it, keep your order ID and the transaction hash. They are what links the deposit to your order. Matching it takes longer and cannot be guaranteed. For your own payout address, a memo is optional unless your wallet or exchange asks for one. Learn how memos and destination tags work.

The network is part of the asset: USDT on Tron and USDT on Ethereum are different deposits, even though the ticker is the same. Always send on the network shown on your order, marked by its badge, such as TRC20.

A deposit sent over a different network can’t be processed automatically, and recovering it isn’t always possible. Check the badge before you send. Read USDT TRC20 vs ERC20: which network to use, and our wrong-network guide for what to do next.

The AI agents

Five specialised agents, one mesh. What they do and why they run the exchange.

Ghostex runs on a mesh of five specialised autonomous agents. Each owns one step of your swap:

  • Oracle quotes your rate from aggregated market data.
  • Router finds the best execution path for your pair.
  • Sentinel detects your deposit, counts network confirmations and flags exceptions.
  • Executor executes the swap at the locked or market rate, or decides a refund.
  • Courier signs and broadcasts your payout or refund.

Oracle quotes. Router routes. Sentinel watches. Executor swaps. Courier delivers. Meet the agents.

In normal operation, yes. Quoting, routing, confirmation, execution, payout and refunds all run automatically, with no human intervention. There is no trading desk and no review queue.

People build and maintain the system, and step in only where the law requires it, for security or to recover from a technical failure. They don’t sit between you and your swap.

Speed, consistency and privacy. Agents work at machine speed around the clock, apply the same rules to every order and never need to know who you are. That is what makes AI-run swaps possible without accounts, paperwork or a support queue for the usual edge cases.
