API Terms of Use

These API Terms of Use (the “API Terms”) apply between you (the “Integrator”, “you”) and the operator of Ghostex.ai (“Ghostex”, “we”, “us”). By accessing or using the Ghostex.ai API (the “API”), you agree to these API Terms. Ghostex.ai is established at 15 Tamar Mepe Street, Kutaisi 4600, Georgia; notices can be sent to legal@ghostex.ai.

The API Terms sit alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy policy, which also apply to every order created through the API. Where these API Terms and the Terms of Service address the same point, the Terms of Service apply to the order itself, and these API Terms apply to your use of the interface.

API

The HTTP interface Ghostex exposes for creating and tracking swaps, described on the API page.

Endpoint

A documented path on the API, such as the currencies, quote, orders and order-status paths.

Integrator

The party that calls the API, whether from a backend, an application or another service.

End user

A person whose swap you create or track through the API. End users never register an account with Ghostex.

Access credentials

Any keys, tokens or headers we may issue so your requests can be identified.

Order

A single swap, run by the agents and governed by the Terms of Service.

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable right to call the API to build and operate an integration with Ghostex, subject to these API Terms. We may make some endpoints available on request; where an endpoint or capability is not documented on the API page, ask us at support@ghostex.ai.

The API is provided for integration, not as a general data feed. We do not promise any particular uptime, latency or availability, and the API is described in section 11 as subject to change.

Where we issue access credentials, they are yours to protect. Send them in request headers over a secure connection, and never expose them in client-side code, public repositories or shared links.

• You are responsible for all use of the API made with your credentials, whether or not you authorised it.
• Tell us promptly at support@ghostex.ai if you believe a credential has been exposed, so we can rotate it.
• We may rotate, scope or revoke credentials to protect the service or to enforce these API Terms.

You must call the API in a way that is fair to the service and to other integrators.

• Keep request rates reasonable and back off when you receive an error or a rate-limit response. We may apply rate limits and change them to protect the service.
• Poll order status at a sensible interval rather than in a tight loop, and cache the currencies list rather than requesting it on every page view.
• Do not use the API to probe, overload, scrape at scale or attack the service or its infrastructure, and do not attempt to work around limits, quotas or access controls.
• Send well-formed JSON requests and handle documented error codes gracefully. The current codes and shapes are on the API page.

When you present Ghostex swaps to your end users, you must:

• show the quote, the flat 0.48% fee and the amounts accurately, and not add hidden charges in our name;
• describe the service truthfully, including that there is no account and no KYC, that a fixed rate is locked for 30 minutes, and that refunds are automatic;
• pass the end user's destination address, network and any required memo correctly, and surface deposit and status information faithfully;
• make clear to your end users that the swap is operated by Ghostex under its Terms of Service, and not misrepresent your relationship with us.

An order created through the API is the same as one created on the website and is governed by the Terms of Service. The five agents quote, route, detect the deposit, execute the swap and deliver the payout, and every confirmed deposit ends delivered or refunded automatically.

Automatic refunds under the Terms apply to API orders. A refund is sent to the refund address given at creation, or otherwise to the address the deposit was sent from, on the same network. For assets whose transactions do not show a sending address, a refund address is required at creation, and the API returns the REFUND_ADDRESS error when one is missing. Because transactions are irreversible, you are responsible for the addresses, networks and memos you submit.

Ghostex asks for no identity information, and the API needs only what runs a swap: the pair, the amount and the relevant addresses. Do not send us personal data you are not permitted to share, and do not use the API to collect identity information about end users on our behalf.

You are responsible for how you handle any data of your own end users, including meeting the privacy and data-protection laws that apply to you. Our own handling of order data is described in the Privacy policy.

The API, its documentation and the Ghostex name and marks remain our property. You may reference Ghostex to describe your integration, following our brand guidelines, but you may not present yourself as Ghostex, imply an endorsement we have not given, or use our marks in a misleading way. You keep ownership of your own application.

You must not use the API:

• for any purpose prohibited by our Terms of Service, including illegal activity, fraud and sanctions evasion;
• to exploit pricing errors, bugs or latency, or to place orders you do not intend to fund;
• to build a service that competes by rebranding the API as your own exchange without our written agreement;
• to interfere with the service, its security or other integrators, or to break any law that applies to you.

The API may change. We may add, alter or deprecate endpoints, fields, limits and behaviour, and we will try to give reasonable notice of a breaking change where we can. Supported assets, networks, pairs and rates can change at any time.

The API may be unavailable during maintenance, congestion or an outage. In line with the Terms of Service, an order in progress completes when the service resumes, or is refunded automatically. It is not dropped.

The API is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or uninterrupted operation, to the fullest extent the law allows.

To the fullest extent the law allows, and except where liability cannot be limited, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for lost profits, data or business, arising from your use of the API. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and it does not change our obligations for an order under the Terms of Service.

We may suspend or end your access to the API, or revoke credentials, if you break these API Terms or our Terms of Service, if your use threatens the service or other integrators, or where the law requires it. Where practical and safe, we will give notice.

You may stop using the API at any time. On termination, your right to call the API ends and you must stop using our credentials and brand assets. Orders already in progress still complete or refund automatically under the Terms of Service.

We may update these API Terms by giving reasonable notice, for example by posting the new version here or by contacting integrators we have issued credentials to. If you keep using the API after a change takes effect, you accept the updated API Terms. The current version, with its date, is always on this page.

These API Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Ghostex.ai is established (Georgia), without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its competent courts. This section does not remove any consumer protection you have under the mandatory law of the place where you live.

Questions about the API or these API Terms, including requests for endpoints not listed on the API page, can be sent by email. We will never ask for your seed phrase, private keys or identity documents.
