Automated swapRun by AI agents
Swap Bitcoin to Monero
Send Bitcoin and receive Monero at the address you choose. Five AI agents quote the rate, route the swap and deliver your XMR, with no account and no KYC. If the order cannot complete, your deposit is refunded automatically.
How it works
You send BTC, the agents do the rest
One deposit is the only thing you do by hand. From there the swap runs on its own until your Monero lands.
-
1. Set the pair and get a quote
Choose BTC to XMR, enter the amount and your Monero receive address, and pick a fixed or floating rate. The 0.48% fee is already in the number you see.
-
2. Send your Bitcoin
You get a one-time Bitcoin deposit address. Send the exact amount shown. Sentinel watches the address and waits for the network confirmations.
-
3. Receive your Monero
Once the deposit confirms, Executor makes the swap and Courier broadcasts your XMR to your address. Most orders finish in 5 to 30 minutes.
Pair details
BTC to XMR at a glance
A BTC to XMR swap takes Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network, waits for 2 confirmations, usually about 20 minutes, and pays Monero to an address starting with 4 or 8. Neither chain needs a memo. A refund address is optional, because a Bitcoin deposit shows the address it came from. The 0.48% fee sits inside the quote, and most orders finish in 5 to 30 minutes.
- You send
- BTC on the Bitcoin network only. Ghostex waits for 2 confirmations before the swap starts.
- You receive
- XMR on the Monero network, where a new block is created about every 2 minutes.
- Payout address
- A Monero standard address starting with 4, or a subaddress starting with 8. Both work for payouts.
- Memo
- None. Neither Bitcoin nor Monero uses a memo or destination tag.
- Refund address
- Optional. A Bitcoin payment shows the address it came from, so a refund can go back there. Add your own if you pay from an exchange account.
- Limits
- About $10 minimum and $10,000,000 maximum in USD value. The exchange form shows the exact limits for this pair.
- Rate
- Fixed and locked for 30 minutes, or floating, which settles at the market rate when the swap executes. The flat 0.48% fee is already in the quote.
- Typical time
- 5 to 30 minutes for most orders. The main variable is how quickly the two Bitcoin confirmations arrive.

The agents
Five AI agents run every BTC to XMR order
On this route the work splits into five steps, from pricing BTC against XMR to broadcasting the Monero payout. One agent owns each step, around the clock, and none of them waits on a trading desk or a review queue.
- Oracle prices BTC against XMR and either locks that rate for 30 minutes or leaves it floating, to settle at the market rate when the swap executes.
- Router finds a path with enough XMR liquidity to fill your amount at the quoted rate.
- Sentinel waits for 2 Bitcoin confirmations and flags an amount outside the limits.
- Executor converts the confirmed BTC to XMR at the locked or market rate, or decides a refund when the order cannot complete.
- Courier sends the XMR to your 4… or 8… address, or returns the BTC on the Bitcoin network when a refund is due.
Rate types
Fixed or floating, your choice
Choose the rate type before you send; both include the same flat 0.48% fee. On a Bitcoin deposit the choice matters, because the 2 confirmations can take about 20 minutes. See how the 30-minute fixed rate compares with a floating rate.
Fixed rate
The 30-minute lock starts when the order is created. Send the exact BTC amount within that window and you receive the XMR amount Oracle quoted. Confirmations that finish after the window do not change the locked rate.
Floating rate
The XMR amount settles at the market rate when the swap executes, after your Bitcoin deposit confirms. The quote is marked ≈ because the final amount can end slightly higher or lower.
At a glance
BTC to XMR fees and timing
Fee: 0.48%, inside the quote
On 0.0500 BTC the 0.48% fee is 0.00024 BTC, already inside the XMR you are quoted.
Deposit wait: about 20 minutes
2 Bitcoin confirmations × ~10 minutes per block, longer when blocks are slow.
Payout network fee: covered
Ghostex covers the network fee for sending your payout; it is already reflected in your XMR quote.
Monero block: about 2 minutes
Monero adds a block about every 2 minutes; new XMR then stays locked for 10 blocks, about 20 minutes, in your wallet.
Who pays which fee. Outside the quote, your wallet pays the Bitcoin network fee for the deposit, set by its fee rate times the transaction size; that fee goes to the network, not to Ghostex. Most of the 5 to 30 minutes is the 2 Bitcoin confirmations, about 20 minutes, since the block interval averages 10 minutes.
Monero receive address. Enter a valid Monero (XMR) address to receive to. Monero does not use a memo or destination tag. Send your Bitcoin on the Bitcoin network only, and send the exact amount quoted so the swap fills at the rate you saw.
Refunds are automatic. You pay in Bitcoin, which shows the sending address, so a refund address is optional here. If the order cannot complete, the deposit goes back to your refund address, or to the Bitcoin address you paid from, minus the network cost of sending it. Read how automatic refunds work.
FAQ
Bitcoin to Monero questions
Do I need an account or KYC to swap BTC to XMR?
No. There is no account and no identity check. You enter your Monero address, send Bitcoin and receive XMR. No name, email, phone or ID is ever asked for.
Is Ghostex an anonymous Monero exchange?
Not in the strict sense, but it is a no-KYC one. Ghostex asks for no name, email, phone or ID and keeps no account linking your orders, and Monero itself hides amounts and the recipient on its own chain. Bitcoin is a public blockchain, though, so your BTC deposit is visible on-chain like any Bitcoin transaction.
How long does it take?
Most orders complete in 5 to 30 minutes. About 20 minutes of that is usually the wait for 2 Bitcoin confirmations; on the payout side, Monero adds a block about every 2 minutes.
What if the swap cannot complete?
The deposit is refunded automatically. Because you paid in Bitcoin, the refund goes to your refund address if you gave one, otherwise back to the Bitcoin address you paid from, minus the network cost of sending it.
