A Swapzone alternative with one quote to read
Swapzone compares offers from partner exchanges and passes your swap to the one you pick. Its own fee is 0%; each exchange's fees sit inside its rate. Ghostex runs every order itself, with 0.48% on every pair, a 30-minute fixed-rate lock and one set of Terms. Swapzone lists far more coins.

Ghostex vs Swapzone at a glance
Fourteen points on who executes your swap, what you pay, which rules apply and what the site does with your data. Each Swapzone cell cites the swapzone.io page it comes from, linked at its first mention and in the Sources list below. As of September 2026; checked 30 September 2026.
| Point | Ghostex | Swapzone |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | A swap service that executes every order itself (Terms, s.3) | An aggregator that compares partner offers; the exchange you select executes the swap, and Swapzone does not handle, store or transfer funds (Terms of Use) |
| Quotes per pair | One, from Ghostex | Offers from up to 18 exchanges, sorted by best match, best rate or fastest (BTC to XMR page) |
| Fee | 0.48% flat, inside the quote; the payout network fee is covered (Terms, s.8) | A Swapzone fee of 0%; the exchange and network fees are built into each offer's rate and go to the exchange (home page; Terms) |
| Account | None: no sign-up, no login, no email | Not needed; an email for status updates is optional (home page; order form) |
| Identity checks | Never asks for ID; an order linked to a prohibited use may be delayed, declined or refunded (Terms, s.6) | Set by each exchange; every offer shows a KYC frequency label (Rare, Often or Never). Swapzone may also ask for more information if it detects suspicious activity (Terms) |
| Terms you accept | Ghostex's Terms of Service | Swapzone's terms and privacy policy, plus the chosen exchange's terms of use (order form) |
| Fixed rate | Locked for 30 minutes from order creation for the exact amount | Offered by some exchanges and listed next to floating offers; the lock and its conditions are the exchange's |
| Refunds | Automatic, to your refund address or the address you paid from, minus the network cost of sending it back (Terms, s.12) | The chosen exchange's refund policy, summarised on each offer; Swapzone helps mediate, but its terms say it cannot be responsible for refunds or reimbursements |
| Liability | Capped at the service fee for the order, without limiting the duty to deliver or refund a deposit for an unfinished order (Terms, s.17) | Combined liability capped at US$25 (Terms) |
| VPNs and IP masking | Allowed: the privacy policy says you are free to use a VPN (Privacy, s.5) | The terms prohibit masking IP addresses or hiding transaction details with circumvention tools |
| Cookies and analytics | None: no cookies, analytics or trackers (Privacy, s.2) | A cookie banner on the site; the terms say metadata such as IP address and user agent is shared with services such as Google Analytics |
| Coins | 43 assets (asset and network list) | 1000+ supported cryptocurrencies, per the home page |
| Monero | Receive only: you can swap into XMR | Both directions (XMR to BTC page) |
| Operator | Ghostex.ai, Kutaisi, Georgia (Terms, s.1) | Block back LLC, named in the privacy policy; terms under Georgian law, legal address in Tbilisi |
The price you pay
What a 0% fee means on an aggregator
Swapzone's fee label reads 0%, and that is accurate for Swapzone's own cut: its terms say the fees you pay go to the exchange directly. The cost of a swap sits inside each offer instead, as that exchange's fee plus network fees. So on Swapzone the figure to compare is not a fee but the amount each offer says you will receive. It changes from exchange to exchange, and between the fixed and floating offer of the same exchange.
On 30 September 2026 we opened Swapzone's BTC to XMR page for 0.05 BTC. The default sort, Best match, put a floating ChangeNOW offer on top with a Recommended tag, at about 7.653 XMR. A floating Swapter offer further down quoted about 7.679 XMR, roughly 0.3% more. That is by design: Swapzone builds its recommendation from ratings, reviews and speed as well as the rate, so switch to the Best rate sort if price is what matters to you. All six offers on the first screen carried the KYC label Rare.
Ghostex takes the opposite approach. It charges the same 0.48% on every pair, fixed or floating, with the payout network fee covered, so there is one quote to read rather than a list to sort. On a $1,000 swap that service fee is $4.80. Whether it beats the best Swapzone offer for your pair depends on each partner's pricing that day. The fair test is to enter the same pair and amount in both at the same moment and compare what you would receive; the quote at the top of this page already includes the 0.48%.
What changes with the offer you click
Picking an offer also picks the rules. Swapzone's order form asks you to accept its own terms and the terms of use of the exchange you chose, and its terms leave KYC and AML procedures to that exchange. These points depend on the offer on Swapzone and stay the same on every Ghostex order:
| Point | On Swapzone | On Ghostex |
|---|---|---|
| Identity checks | The exchange's policy, shown as a KYC label: Rare, Often or Never | No identity documents, ever (Terms, s.21) |
| Rate lock | The exchange's fixed-rate rules, if it offers a fixed rate | 30 minutes on every pair (Terms, s.8) |
| Refund timing and costs | The exchange's refund policy, summarised on the offer | Automatic, minus the network cost of the return; no fee kept |
| Who answers for the swap | The exchange; Swapzone mediates, with liability capped at US$25 | Ghostex, under one set of Terms |
Ghostex also relies on outside liquidity: its Router agent chooses the execution path, and order data goes to liquidity providers only as far as a swap needs (Privacy, s.9). You never choose or contract with those providers, though. If an order cannot complete, Executor decides the refund and Courier sends it without a ticket. How that works is covered in automatic refunds, explained.
Honest trade-offs
Where Swapzone is the better choice
Swapzone is the better choice for coin range, for weighing several exchanges on one screen and for products beyond crypto-to-crypto swaps. Its own pages support each point below. Ghostex is not the right tool for every swap.
- Far more coins. Its home page cites 1000+ supported cryptocurrencies, against Ghostex's 43 assets.
- Exchanges compared in one place. Each offer shows an ETA, a KYC label, a star rating, user reviews and a record of financial claims, so you can judge the exchange as well as the rate.
- Monero in both directions. Swapzone has an XMR to BTC page. On Ghostex, Monero is receive-only.
- More than swaps. Its menu adds fiat buy and sell, DEX, P2P, staking and loan sections. Ghostex swaps crypto for crypto only.
- A private swap option. A Private Exchange switch that Swapzone describes as hiding the on-chain link between your sending and receiving addresses.
- Email updates. You can leave an email to hear when a swap completes. Ghostex has no email step; you follow the order by its ID.
How to switch
Switching from Swapzone: four steps
Close to the flow you know, minus the offer list: one quote, one address, one deposit. The fee is 0.48% whichever pair you choose.
-
1. Pick a pair
For example: USDT TRC20 to BTC, BTC to ETH and SOL to BTC. Choose fixed or floating; both carry 0.48%.
-
2. Enter your address
Paste the address that receives the payout, plus a memo if that wallet needs one. A refund address is optional; add one when paying from an exchange account.
-
3. Send the exact amount
Send the amount shown, on the network shown, to the deposit address shown on your order. On a fixed rate, send within 30 minutes of creating the order.
-
4. Track the order
Keep the order ID and follow progress on the order tracking page. If the swap cannot complete, the refund starts on its own.
FAQ
Swapzone alternative: questions
Is Ghostex affiliated with Swapzone?
No. Ghostex is a separate service with no link to Swapzone or to Block back LLC, the company named in its privacy policy. We mention Swapzone only to compare its published pages, read on swapzone.io on 30 September 2026.
Why does Ghostex charge 0.48% when Swapzone shows 0%?
Swapzone's 0% is its own cut; the exchange you pick still charges, inside its rate. Ghostex is the exchange, so its 0.48% is the whole service fee, shown inside the quote with the payout network fee covered. Compare the amount you receive, not the fee label.
Can I swap XMR to BTC on Ghostex?
No. Monero is receive-only on Ghostex: you can swap BTC, ETH, USDT and other assets into XMR, but XMR cannot be the asset you swap from. For XMR to BTC you need a service that lists Monero on its send side, as Swapzone does.
Can I use a VPN with Ghostex?
Yes. The privacy policy says you are free to use privacy tools such as a VPN. The site sets no cookies and loads no analytics or trackers, and it never asks for identity documents.
Do I need an account or an email address?
No. There is no sign-up, login or email step. The order ID is the only reference to your swap, so keep it: anyone who has it can open that order's status page.
How long does a swap take?
Typically 5 to 30 minutes, depending on network confirmations. Ghostex waits for 2 confirmations on Bitcoin, 12 on Ethereum and 20 on Tron before the swap runs, then sends the payout.
