An Exolix alternative with automatic refunds and no ID checks
Exolix’s AML policy allows requests for a government ID and a selfie when a transaction is reviewed; Ghostex never asks for identity documents. Ghostex refunds failed orders automatically; Exolix’s terms refund a system error in full and a client error reported before payout with a commission. Exolix locks fixed rates for 60 minutes, longer than Ghostex’s 30.

The failure path
What happens when something goes wrong
Exolix locks rates for longer and says it charges no service fee. That makes the failure path the comparison that matters here: what each service’s published rules do with your deposit when an order does not go to plan. Three common cases, side by side:
| Case | Ghostex | Exolix |
|---|---|---|
| The order cannot complete on the service’s side | Refunded automatically to your refund address or the sending address, in the same asset and network, minus the network cost of the return; no fee kept | A system error is refunded “in full and without commission” (terms s.5) |
| You send a different amount on a fixed rate | The lock no longer applies: the deposit is executed at the market rate or refunded automatically, as the order page shows (Terms s.8) | Client errors go to support for an individual decision; one reported before the payout is sent is refunded with a commission (terms s.5) |
| Wrong network or missing memo | No automatic refund; recovery is attempted only where technically possible, and network and handling costs may be deducted (Terms s.9) | Funds lost through a wrong address, network or memo are not refunded (terms s.5) |
Two things follow. When the fault is on the service’s side, Exolix’s rule returns the full amount, while Ghostex deducts the network cost of sending the refund back; neither keeps a fee. When the amount you send is off, Ghostex settles the order without a request, where Exolix’s terms ask you to report the error before the payout goes out. For a deposit on the wrong network, neither service refunds automatically. The network on the order is the one line to check twice (for a USDT TRC20 to XMR swap, that is Tron).
Flagged deposits are a fourth case. Exolix may ask where the funds came from and, if you decline, its terms say it is not responsible for ensuring the refund or completion (terms s.5). Ghostex’s automated checks of public chain data can also delay, decline or refund an order connected with a prohibited use. Even then, Ghostex never asks for identity documents (Terms s.6). For how Ghostex decides and sends a refund, read automatic refunds, explained.
Honest trade-offs
Where Exolix is the better choice
Exolix is the better choice when you need more time, more coins or no upper limit. Its terms lock a fixed rate for 60 minutes against Ghostex’s 30, and its public API counted 529 currencies. Its FAQ sets no maximum and names no fee beyond the network fee. It also swaps XMR in both directions.
- A longer fixed-rate lock. 60 minutes from creating the transaction, twice Ghostex’s 30, which helps when funds take a while to leave an exchange.
- No maximum and more coins. Its FAQ sets no upper limit, and its public API counted 529 currencies against Ghostex’s 43 assets.
- No stated service fee. Its FAQ says it charges no fees beyond the network fee. Compare the final amount of both quotes for your pair and size.
- Monero out, Lightning listed. It swaps XMR in both directions and lists Lightning as a BTC network in its API; Ghostex only pays out XMR and Lightning BTC.
- A full refund for its own errors. A system error is refunded without commission, where Ghostex deducts the network cost of the return.
How to switch
Switching from Exolix: four steps
Four steps take you from choosing a pair to a delivered payout, with no sign-up in between. Select the swap and rate type, and give a receiving address on the right network. Send exactly the amount the order states, then follow the status until the payout lands, usually within 5 to 30 minutes.
-
1. Select the swap
Open USDT TRC20 to XMR, USDT ERC20 to TRC20 or BTC to ETH, or set any pair in the form, then choose fixed or floating. -
2. Give the receiving address
Paste the address for the coins you want, checking the network. If you pay from an exchange, also give a refund address you control. -
3. Send what the order says
Transfer the exact amount to the deposit address shown on your order. A different amount on a fixed rate loses the lock and runs at the market rate or is refunded. -
4. Follow the status
The order page shows each step: deposit seen, confirmed, swapped, paid out. Most orders take 5 to 30 minutes.
FAQ
Exolix alternative: questions
Is Ghostex affiliated with Exolix?
No. Ghostex operates independently of Exolix, which has not endorsed or sponsored this comparison. Exolix’s rules on this page come from its public pages as read on 26 September 2026.
Does Ghostex ever ask for a selfie or ID?
No. Ghostex never asks for identity documents, a selfie, seed phrases or private keys. Automated analysis of public chain data can delay, decline or refund an order connected with a prohibited use (Terms, section 6). Exolix’s AML/KYC policy lists a government ID and a selfie or liveness check among the requests it may make during a review.
How are refunds handled on Ghostex?
Automatically. When an order cannot complete, Executor decides the refund and Courier sends it in the same asset and on the same network. It goes to your refund address or the address you paid from, minus the network cost. No fee is kept and you never file a request. Wrong-network and missing-memo deposits are the exception: they are not refunded automatically.
Why pay 0.48% when Exolix says it charges no fee?
Every service earns from the rate; compare the final amount each quote delivers for the same pair and amount. Ghostex states its fee as one number. That 0.48% is already inside the quote, and the payout network fee is covered.
How long is a fixed rate locked?
On Ghostex, 30 minutes from order creation; send the stated amount within that time to receive the locked amount. Exolix’s terms state 60 minutes, so if you need longer to move funds, that is a point in its favour.
